Session Persistence Risk Tool
Updated Apr 8, 2026
Enter your session type, NAT configuration, failover behavior, keepalive interval, and session timeout to get a multi-factor persistence risk assessment. Evaluates five independent risk factors — NAT timeout risk, IP change on failover, failover disruption window, keepalive adequacy, and session timeout sensitivity — and produces an overall Low / Medium / High / Critical risk label.
Applies session-type severity modifiers: VPN and ATM sessions escalate any High risk to Critical due to tunnel teardown and ISO 8583 transaction abort consequences. Includes a keepalive adequacy assessment with recommended intervals per NAT type, session-type-specific recovery advisory, and ordered recommended actions.
